Osho Chakra Breathing Meditations - music by Kamal - Audio CD - Osho Active meditations

Brand New :    1 CD

This hour-long track is specifically designed to support the OSHO Chakra meditation. The music supports the energy and activity described in each stage of the meditation, and also signals the timing of each stage. A silent stage is part of most Osho Active Meditations, and when the meditation ends with silence, the end of the silence will be signaled with a bell or gong.

Chakra Breathing meditation can help you to become aware of and experience each of the seven chakras. This meditation is active and uses deep rapid breathing and body movement, accompanied by musical sounds to open and bring awareness and vitality to the chakras. Osho Active Meditations combine all certain activities like shaking, dancing, jumping, humming and others to lead into silence and meditation. Music is used as a background for all these meditations. A final stage of 15 minutes of silence completes the meditations and a gong signals the end.

First Stage: 45 minutes
Stand with your feet shoulder- width apart. Let your body be loose and relaxed. Close your eyes and with mouth open breathe deeply and rapidly into the first chakra. Imagine the inhalation travelling to the pelvic region of the body, where the first chakra is located. Exhale rapidly.

Breathe into the first chakra until you hear a bell, which indicates to start breathing into the second chakra. Each time you hear a bell, move this deep rapid breathing up to the next chakra. As you breathe up from chakra to chakra, your breathing should become more rapid and more gentle, so that you are taking about twice as many breaths in the seventh chakra as you were in the first. You can move, shake, tilt, stretch, or do any slight move-ment that will support the breathing but the feet should remain in one spot. Allow your feet, knees, hips and other joints to become like springs so that once you set the breathing and body into motion, the movement will become continuous and effortless. Let your awareness remain primarily with the sensations of the chakras, rather than with the breathing or the body movement.

After the seventh chakra, you will hear three bells. Now let your breathing turn and slowly fall back through all seven chakras down to the first chakra. Let the energy flow down by itself to include the entire spectrum of chakra energy from top to bottom, like seven colors blending into one rainbow. You have about two minutes to reach back to the first chakra. It is up to you how long you breathe into each chakra. After you finish this sequence, stand silently for a few moments before starting the next sequence. This upward and downward breathing sequence is repeated three times. If you don’t feel the energy of your chakras at first, just breathe into the area where they are located. Remember not to push the breath, rather allow the breath and body movement to be like a bridge carrying you into the sensations and qualities of the energy of each chakra. Becoming sensitive to the different qualities of each chakra comes not through force, but through awareness and patience.
Second Stage: 15 minutes
After the third breathing sequence, sit relaxed with closed eyes in silence. As you sit, don’t focus on anything in particular. Remain a witness to whatever is happening, without judgment.

About Chakras

Chakra is a concept referring to wheel-like vortices which, according to traditional Indian medicine, are believed to exist in the surface of the etheric double of man. The Chakras are said to be "force centres" or whorls of energy permeating, from a point on the physical body, the layers of the subtle bodies in an ever-increasing fan-shaped formation . Rotating vortices of subtle matter, they are considered the focal points for the reception and transmission of energies. Seven major chakras or energy centres are generally believed to exist, located within the subtle body.

It is typical for chakras to be depicted as either flower-like or wheel-like. In the former, a specific number of petals are shown around the perimeter of a circle. In the latter, a certain number of spokes divide the circle into segments that make the chakra resemble a wheel or chakra. Each chakra possesses a specific number of segments or petals. Chakras are energy centres along the spine located at major branchings of the human nervous system, beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Chakras are considered to be a point or nexus of biophysical energy or prana of the human body. Shumsky states that "prana is the basic component of your subtle body, your energy field, and the entire chakra system...the key to life and source of energy in the universe."

It is the shakta theory of 7 main chakras that become most popular in the Western hemisphere, largely through the translation of two Indian texts, the Sat-Cakra-Nirupana, and the Padaka-Pancaka, by Sir John Woodroffe, alias Arthur Avalon, in a book titled The Serpent Power. This book is extremely detailed and complex, and later the ideas were developed into what is predominant Western view of the Chakras by the Theosophists, and largely the controversial (in theosophical circles) C. W. Leadbeater in his book The Chakras, which are in large part his own meditations and insights on the matter.

Rudolf Steiner says much about the Chakras that is unusual. In contrast to the traditional eastern teachings, Steiner describes a sequence of development from the top down rather than the bottom up. This is the so called 'Christos Path' which has not always been available to humanity. He also seems to ignore the Thousand Petalled at the crown of the head and mentions cryptically an Eight Petalled chakra located between the Ten Petalled and the Six Petalled. In his book How to Know Higher Worlds Steiner gives clear instructions on how to develop the chakras safely into maturity. These are more like life disciplines than exercises and can take considerable time. He warns that while quicker methods exist, they can be dangerous to one's health, character, or sanity. New Age writers, such as Anodea Judith in her book Wheels of Life, have written about the chakras in great detail, including the reasons for their appearance and functions. Another unique interpretation of the seven chakras is presented by writer and artist Zachary Selig. In the book Kundalini Awakening, a Gentle Guide to Chakra Activation and Spiritual Growth, he presents a unique codex titled "Relaxatia", a solar Kundalini paradigm that is a codex of the human chakra system and the solar light spectrum, designed to activate Kundalini through his colour-coded chakra paintings. Additionally, some chakra system models describe one or more Transpersonal chakras above the crown chakra, and an Earth star chakra below the feet. There are also held to be many minor chakras, for example between the major chakras. Chakras are also used in neurolinguistic programming to connect NLP logical levels, with spiritual goals on the crown, intellectual on the forehead and so on. Unique interpretation of the chakras system model is presented in the form of Sacred geometry or spiritual symbols of ancient India and Egypt. It’s Ankh model of chakras system.

About Osho Active Meditation

If you want to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your potential, who you really are. Meditation is the route to that knowing. It is the methodology of the science of awareness.

The beauty of the inner science is that it enables whoever wants to explore and to experiment within, to do so alone. This eliminates dependence on an outer authority, the need to be affiliated with any organization and the obligation to accept a certain ideology. Once you understand the steps, you walk the walk in your own, individual way. Many meditative techniques require one to sit still and silent. But for most of us accumulated stress in our bodymind makes that difficult. Before we can hope to access our inner powerhouse of consciousness, we need to let go of our tensions.

Osho Active Meditations have been scientifically designed by Osho over a period of time to enable us to consciously express and experience repressed feelings and emotions, and learn the knack of watching our habitual patterns in a new way.
