Christmas would not be the same without the most famous Christmas story ever written. "A Christmas Carol" has been filmed twice as "Scrooge" with Seymour Hicks in the 1935 film and Alistair Sim as Scrooge in 1951. In 2001 an animated version of "A Christmas Carol" was also released, and "A Muppet Christmas Carol" was a surprise hit. A new movie starring Jim Carrey releases December 2009.
